StarPlus RTV Albania (“the app”) is an Android TV application that streams a live television channel and displays a rotating panel of news headlines. This policy explains what information the app does and does not handle.
Information We Do Not Collect
The app does not require or support account creation or sign-in. It does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal identifier. It does not access your camera, microphone, contacts, location, or storage, and it does not include any advertising or analytics software development kits (SDKs).
Information Automatically Processed
To play the live channel and display news headlines, the app connects over the internet to:
- A video streaming server, to retrieve the live broadcast.
- A news content server at starplus-tv.com, to retrieve the latest headlines, images, and article summaries.
As with any internet connection, these servers necessarily receive your device’s IP address and standard technical request information (such as device type and app version) in order to deliver the requested content. This is a basic function of how the internet works, not something the app itself collects, stores, or shares. The app does not log, retain, or transmit this information anywhere beyond what is needed to complete each request.
The app does not use cookies, device identifiers, or any tracking mechanism, and it does not build a profile of your usage.
Data Storage
The app does not maintain a database, save files, or use local browser-style storage to record personal information. News content is held only in memory while the app is running and is discarded when the app closes.
Third-Party Content
The live video stream and the news headlines are sourced from third-party servers not operated by the app’s developer. Those third parties may maintain their own server logs and privacy practices, which this policy does not cover. Children’s Privacy
The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13 (or the relevant age of digital consent in your region).
Data Security
Because the app does not collect or store personal information, there is no personal data held by the app to secure. Network requests to fetch news content use standard HTTPS encryption; the live video stream is currently served over an unencrypted connection restricted to that single source.
